Jordyn Brooks and Aaron Brewer Earn All-Pro Honors

Although the Dolphins season didn’t end the way they wanted, there are still many positives that can be taken from the season, including two building blocks for the Miami Dolphins new regime.

One anchoring the defense, and one anchoring the offense.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordy Brooks and center Aaron Brewer were both announced as All-Pros, Brooks making first team honors and Brewer making second team. Brooks and Brewer are Miami’s first All-Pros since Tua and Tyreek earned the honors in 2023.

Jordyn Brooks

Jordyn Brooks didn’t just have a great season he put together one of the most dominant linebacker campaigns the Miami Dolphins have ever seen.

From Week 1 on, Brooks was the heartbeat of Miami’s defense, leading the entire NFL with 183 total tackles and showing up everywhere the ball went. Against the run, he was flat-out elite: 20.5 run stuffs, a 93.0 run defense grade, and a 90.2 tackling grade tell the story of a linebacker who erased lanes, finished plays, and punished ball carriers with consistency.

Brooks wasn’t just a volume tackler he made a difference each and every week. He added 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble and fumble recovery, and held his own in coverage with three passes defended. (coverage is an area to improve upon). Whether shooting gaps, chasing plays sideline to sideline, or cleaning things up at the second level, Brooks played with great instincts, speed, and physicality.

Aaron Brewer

Aaron Brewer is on one of the best offensive line contracts in the NFL and was easily the Dolphins best linemen. Brewer is the NFL’s eight highest paid center and earned the second-best possible honors in the league. Brewer’s season was highlighted by numerous pancake blocks, second level blocks, hustle, pulling, and keeping Tua upright as he allowed only one sack.

Brewer was an undrafted free agent out of Texas State and had a good tenure in Tennessee before earning every penny of his Dolphins contract. Brewer ranked first in run block grade (91.5), tenth in pass block grade (71.2), and second in overall grade (87.4) amongst all centers. Brewer is only 29 years old and should be a centerpiece of the Dolphins line for the foreseeable future.

Even in a down year, the Dolphins have some pieces to the puzzle and only time will tell how new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and the future head coach add more pieces, to complete this puzzle and get the Dolphins back on top of the NFL.

Congratulations Jordyn Brooks and Aaron Brewer.
